New Thinking In International Relations Theory

This book represents a collection of ten essays which analyze the changes in the structure of the international system since the end of the Cold War. The book also evaluates the identity and interests of the major actors; the effects of recent developments in military, industrial, and communications technology; strategies of foreign policy; and perceptions of the fundamental visions, goals, and parameters of world politics. The essays were selected  according to how they conceptualize the task of international political analysis, from formal modeling to discursive soliloquy; how they categorize the important sources of change; and whether they hypothesize change deriving from the systemic interaction of states or from domestic politics, ideas, or material forces. New Thinking In International Relations Theory is rooted in the end of the Cold War and how the classical schools of Realism, Liberalism, and Socialism interpret the mechanisms of historical evolution.
